If you’ve been paying close attention to the Richard George socials, you’ll be familiar with George.
Created initially using surplus fabric from the tailoring process and presented as a gift for the same client whose suit we were crafting.
George has grown to become a beautifully sweet mascot for Richard George, embodying the same level of craftsmanship as our illustrious tailoring and the same exceptional materials, sourced from the greatest mills in the world.
E-Type George
George bear has enjoyed several iterations over the years, starting with the original E-type bear we created for Jaguar classic in 2022 (Read more here)
Islay George
In 2023 George was recreated to celebrate the launch of the Jaguar Classic V8 Defender Islay Edition.
This George’s waistcoat and bowtie were created from authentic Islay tweed to match the interior of the car, and his foot was lovingly adorned with the original numberplate of the Defender that Spencer Wilks drove, coining the name ‘Land Rover’ back in 1965.
One of these limited edition bears was gifted from Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works to all 30 owners of the new V8 Defender Islay Edition.
SS24 George
For Spring Summer 2024 we have created a one-off commemorative, seasonal George Bear, made in the technical fabric that epitomises the Modern Tailoring collection.
SS24 George has been on many adventures with us while we have been promoting the collection, from our London Trunk Shows to Aston Martin Nottingham.
Your George
Over the years, many of our valued clients have commissioned their very own treasured George, in fabrics to match their beautiful tailoring. From tartans to tweeds, the changing face of George, our brand mascot, has become widely known and makes a special gift for a wedding day, commemoration or souvenir .
