The Perfect Christmas Party Suit, Made-to-Measure

It’s that time of year again! With the Party season upon us, your next event may well be the ‘Office Party’. With last year’s events being cancelled due to lockdown, you will want to really make a good impression this year. Here we help you find the perfect Christmas attire to really standout during the festive season.

Men

If your festive event is a black-tie dress code then our black tie suit would be perfect for the occasion. Also our other recommendations would be a slim-cut tailored midnight-blue suit in a light flannel with a light blue Oxford fabric available in our shirting collection from Thomas Mason paired with bespoke tan suede RG loafers to add a ‘party feel’. Alternatively, a velvet blazer from our Holland & Sherry collection or we have a stunning mid blue fabric from Zegna which would wear perfectly with fitted trousers or smart black jeans and would certainly impress.

For a casual office party then a dark coloured fitted blazer, long sleeve button up shirt, dark jeans/chinos paired with tan loafers will suffice.

Women

LBD’s (Little Black Dress) are usually the go-to for ladies at a Christmas party, but with co-ord sets on top trend this year, a tailored 2-piece fitted Women’s suit can also be a great choice, at Richard George we offer a made to measure service for our ladieswear collection. Black or glitzy dark colours are very popular. If you want to add a splash of colour to your outfits red and deep mustard colours are popular seasonal shades. Don’t forget your coat, faux fur coats or smart fitted blazers will ensure you are warm whilst on your after-party commute home.

Accessories

For men a pocket square or tie and some cufflinks will give the added touches to make your outfit standout. For women a glitzy clutch bag and a staple piece necklace will bring your outfit to life.  A nice watch to finalise your outfit will be a sure winner.

Summary

You need to understand the setting of your event, if it’s a casual drink after work then a blazer and jeans would most probably work, but if it’s a formal dinner/event then you will want to dress to the occasion. Velvet fabric and sparkle is popular at Christmas time. With our tips above you will be sure to make heads turn at your next office party!
